What we collect, why, and who touches it. No data sales, no ad trackers.
Account details (name, email, password hash), your business content (services, prices, photos, hours, policies), your client book (names and contact details you add or import), bookings and membership records, messages sent through the platform, and the usual technical logs that keep the service running.
Payment details are collected by Stripe, not by us: we never see or store full card numbers.
To run the product: taking bookings, billing memberships, sending reminders and messages, paying out barbers, showing your public page, and keeping your dashboard accurate.
We don't sell personal data. Ever.
If you enable AI features (suggested replies, away-cover, win-backs), the relevant conversation and booking context is processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate those messages. It's used to produce your assistant's output, not to build advertising profiles.
Every AI-sent message is visible in your inbox, and you can turn AI features off at any time.
We use a small set of processors to run Hairsentials: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Vercel Blob (images), Stripe (payments and payouts), Twilio (SMS), Resend (email), and Anthropic (AI features). Each receives only what its job requires.
If your barber uses Hairsentials, we hold your booking and membership records on their behalf, and they control that relationship. You can opt out of messages at any time, and you can ask us or your barber to correct or delete your information.
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising trackers.
We keep data while your account is active. Close your account and we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, keeping only what payment and tax law requires (those records live with Stripe either way).
You can export your client data any time, no lock-in is a product principle, not a slogan.
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Email us through the contact page and a person will handle it.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll announce them before they take effect. Last updated July 10, 2026.
